Hello all,
Does anyone use a cordless grinder? If you which one and what’s your views on it?
Considering buying one but the dewalt one is £200 with no battery’s, which are £140 for one and a charger.
Any advice would be great or opinions would be great thanks
Hi all
What's your preferred set up for controlling dust from grinder
Do a lot of cutting outside of people's houses and often ask them to move cars ect when cutting
But need a better solution
Cheers
Just struggled with a porcelain floor 600x300 tiles and now I have another DIY job coming up with porcelain I have a wet table saw that I call Mr Chippy and after reading here my best option is an angle grinder - which I already have I now know thanks to you guys the type of cutting disc to get...
Something I've never done, but is it worth it? I've replaced my ats turbo blade today as it was struggling to cut 12mm fully vitrified porcelain, it's probably lasted 3 months, as they seem to. Should I be dressing a cheap blade ? Would it keep going ?
Hi guys.. Now im starting to understand mofe about the blades we use, I want to purchase a blade only for stone.. what would you recommend at a reasonable price thanks
question:
Someone already used these ?.
is a long time I wanted to try them,
But I never did, now, I've seen a good deal.
tempted to try. Sigma recommends,
knurled, tile over 6 mm thick.
And smooth for thin porcelain.
As the title suggests. Looking for recommendations on a new porcelain grinder blade and coring/drilling attachment for drilling holes for pipework.
Don't have the tiles specs yet. Just size 300×1000
So decent thickness I'd assume
I dont know the answer to this so I'm going to ask.
So you've got your manual tile cutter and a wetsaw set up so why would you need to cut free hand with a hand held grinder pumping plummes of dust around the place or on the driveway?
What is the need for it?
Need to do a couple of external mitre cuts and my wet saw aint the best... so want to grind away the biscuit on ceramic tile without touching the glaze.
What blade would i use for this, a normal tile diamond cutting blade or some sort of grinding blade? Any particular brand?
Cheers all.
1) Can anybody who has experience of, recommend a durable diamond jigsaw blade make suitable for cutting a hole in a ceramic or porcelain tile and also 1" granite
2) 125mm grinder blade for the same purpose.
Seen a few on Ebay not sure if they are suitable
Thanks

hello all, I'm laying 600 x 400 limestone tiles in a small downstairs toilet. It's been tiled on to a primed ply floor screwed to floor boards. This is the old stuff that was there from when the floor was tiled before over 20 years ago. The ply seems in good condition I've just added loads more...

Maybe I'm a bit late to the party but to those of you that haven't tried these yet you should do as I've drilled 10 mm porcelain in under 20 seconds with a 25 mm hole . The make I'm using is Mexco although I understand ATS products are much liked . Time easily outweighs cost .
Hi guys,
Is there a technique other than a steady hand to getting straight long cuts using a grinder. Also mitres I've seen a set up of a 45deg angle block and cut freehand but only on small cuts.
Trying to make a decision on whether to upgrade to a cordless grinder and batteries or to spend...
