Today i was using the grinder to do a socket cut in a 10x10 porcelain when the thing jumped and caught my fore finger :yikes::yikes::yikes: All i could see was a deep grind out of my finger right beside a vein !!!It burnt my skin too so extremely little blood. I checked the Marcrist CK850...

hi this is darrell from ceramic 2 stone tiling in bolton lancs, anybody tried out the latest rubi dry porcelain bits? do not use dry on ceramic tiles, they burn out fast.:oops:

hi all, anyone have any bother with their marcrist semi cont blades,i've purchased 2 in the past 9 months and about 3 or 4 segments have dropped off whilst cutting, and their only getting normal use?

I got a new makita 115 grinder today 240v came with a box and diamond blade and was under £40 some good bargains on tools out there right now :thumbsup:

Anybody come across an angle grinder that has a 20mm arbor as opposed to the usual 22mm one? I came across some diamond blades when I was in East Asia that are 105mm with a 20mm centre - I just wonder what they're used in.

Makita do an 18v battery grinder anyone got any views or use one bit pricey but for jobs with power far away looks good

just used these bad boys to remove sand /cement mortar from flagstones on a job im doing,dunno if many of you guys have used them but they were excellent.the only thing was i ran out lol used 2 in 4 hours and plodded of to bee and spew for a new one,,,exactly the same one was 21.50 compared to...

does anyone use a grinder for all cuts rather than a wet cutter...i know a tiler who does and was wondering how many of you guys do?

I would just like some advice on the advantages of using an angle grinder on tiles,do they make cutting curves alot easier and how easy are they to use/what type of blade is best? Also whats a good one to buy? cheers in advance for any advice guys

Sounds rash I know, however I wish to cut a straight line alonfg some vertical wall tiles to slip in underneath a marble shelf. I wondered if I could use an angle grinder to cut back an edge? :helpsmilie Manx Viking

Anyone know where i can get some new dust covers for my grinders (ones with hoover bit on) mine are old and knackered. Only ones i can find on the net are these Dust Control Dust cover for 9 inch 230mm grinder | Mark 1 Hire - Equipment Hire At Its Best but that is just to hire, not to buy.
