Hello all,
Can you please advise what the minimum finished height I need to plan for if I want to put down a 10mm Ceramic tile onto existing joists.
My plan was to put down 18mm T&G...then a tile backer board (thickness?), then adhesive (thickness ?)....then the tile.
My perfect world is not...

I'm looking to use jasmine grout with these tiles, but am undecided about edging trim (white, beige, none? I'd...

Hello folks,
Basically I am looking for some professional advice.
In October last year I bought my first house - a massive do-er upper, and one that we knew when I bought it would need some significant work doing to it due to the presence of red ash in the property. Some thirty odd tonnes of...

I'm pricing a job atm where the customer would like the floor tiling from the kitchen straight into the bathroom.
The house was derelict for a long time and the floor is a mess.
My big concern is the serveral slabs etc, the floor height can be built up in SLC and bulked out with sharp sand in...

Currently trying to finish off the bathroom part of a full house refurbishment - this has been the trickiest area to design and get right so far!
The bathroom is small square shaped, 2m x 2m with an L-shaped shower/bath next to a large window, with the WC and wall...
Hi guys, have not got round to tiling the bathroom and kitchen floor and was wondering how high the finished tile height will be once completed? Tiles are 9mm thick and I will be using the Schluter Ditra as recommended.

Bit stumped on this one. Just about finished tiling bathroom. However, the corridor floor is yet to be done and, therefore, finished height is unknown. It's probably going to be a floating timber floor but materials have yet to be bought. Any suggestions on how to finish the threshold? I don't...

I am planning on having UFH installed on an upper layer (Step up - dividing bathroom in half where bath and basin go) in my bathroom. However I'm a bit concerned about the additional height it will add to the upper level (it's a fairly new house so low ceilings anyway).
How much overall height...

Hi all
we are about to start tiling adjoining rooms, the kitchen and dining room. We have taken down the wall that separated these rooms so the rooms now effectively are one. We have ripped up the wooden flooring that was down in the dining room and the tiles that was down in the kitchen...

I have installed a AKW tuff tray former to my bathroom directly to joists with lots of extra noggins, etc. I also removed all the existing t+g and replaced with high quality 18mm marine ply (sbr primed under and sides) again with lots of noggins.
Originally my shower was to be...

Hi all, I'm new to this wetroom game, and indeed the tiling game, so please go easy on me!
My problem is this: I have a Victorian house with old, gappy floorboards of approx. 20mm thickness. My original plan was to remove these entirely and lay 18mm exterior ply, then 10mm Orbry backer...
