Was just watching this video and even though this guys tiling is spot on IMO, i cant help think he didn't do his wet room exactly as i would.
I see when he taped his corners, he didnt use the wet tanking membrane that would get rolled on. I see he didnt tape all around the kaskade tray as...
Hi all,
I was wondering if anybody has done this or if they have any advice about doing so?
I'm not even sure that it's a good idea or not.
But, presumably if plenty of screws were put in and there was little movement then it should be achievable.
Hopefully a quick one for ya.
When I grouted recently I was obviously not careful enough and got some grout in the internal corners in a few areas, where I had intended to Silicon. Do you think I should remove all the grout before I Silicon or will I get away with it do you reckon? I did try...

Dang diddly! In my mad rush to get as much of the shower alcove grouted before the epoxy grout became unusable, I absent mindedly filled the vertical corner joints with grout.
I tanked the bejeebus outta the whole alcove, and the bathroom is on the ground floor sitting on sand and cement...

I have an enclosed cistern and as such it is boxed in and I'm tiling round it. The boxing informs a shelf which has incurred the wrath of me trying to get a three way mitre for the aluminium tile trim which is when I found the solution on this forum.
What I need to do now is from the flats that...
Hello all,
I'm redoing the bathroom and will be using quite a large tile (400x300) on all walls. Two internal walls are plastered and are nowhere near flat, so to save me some pain later on I think it's best it comes off to be boarded to give me a nice flat surface to tile on and extra...
Hi all,
I'm re-tiling a shower cubicle at the moment. I've finished the centre tiles on all walls, and now I'm about to tile into the internal corners using half cuts. When tiling in to internal corners, I would like to know whether it's best practice to overlap one of the tiles running into...
Hello. Can anyone advise me on what is the best method to deal with internal corners using metro tiles. Also for external corners, would it be easier and look better to mitre or cover with a trim. Many thanks

Hi peeps, this is my first diy tile job in a small box room of the kitchen.
I have started on the main wall as you go into the room, I used a straight starting baton and have tiled outwards and have now got to first internal corner.
So I cut the edge tiles leaving a gap for the Silicon as you...
Hi, been a while since I posted on here, wonder if you can help? Photos or links to photos would be great.
I have a splashback to do with bevelled tiles, 200x100mm, and this will involve working around several internal corners, both 45 degree and 90 degree (odd shaped kitchen). I understand that...

Any advice / informed opinion welcome.
Hi. How is everyone.
Just curious as to how flood testing the membrane on internal wet areas is carried out on your side of the world. I have been having problems trying to find a decent plug that i can use to block the floor waste outlet without damaging the membrane. Any suggestions on where i...
Hi,
For some reason when my house was built about 17 years ago the builders put tiles on every window ledge apart from the 2 kitchen window ledges.
We are now having upvc replacement windows fitted and want to obtain some tiles to match all the others.
The tiles have a rounded top front edge...
First post here so go easy and I've done a search and not really found an answer.
Recently refurbished a room which will become the new kitchen of my house. New screed laid over a new damp proof membrane. What I do have is a manhole in the room, a new internal double sealed manhole assembly has...
