Hey, all Just wondering if you need washers for installing 6mm boards like Norcros pro board, Wedi, Mamrox, Kerdi etc (not hardiebacker) Onto a solid wall?
How would you install 6mm backer board to a solid wall?
I Just don't want to order washers for nothing.
Just joined the forum and I had no idea this place existed. And Tiling has only been my livelihood for the last 10 years or so!
What a cracking site, sure there's a lot more to learn too.
Thanks for the acceptance, glad to be aboard.
Cheers,
Tony
I just had my bathroom redone by a large company that promised their installers will complete the work to the highest standards.
Please be honest and give me your professional opinion on the standard of work and what needs doing to put it right if anything.

I'm a DIY tiler. I have removed two loose wall tiles from the bottom of a shower enclosure. I'm not sure of the type of tile, but they are very hard and have a stone-effect surface. They were laid onto a rough plastered wall, which I have cleaned up and plan to treat with Mapei Plaster Primer...
