I've been using clips more frequently these days due to tile size, rectified edge tiles etc... trouble is over the month they can be quite expensive if you're using them on several jobs. Question is do you charge for the clips or not?
Tilers can now play hockey on their newly tiled floors!

I lost a large job on price, the client who I've been doing other work for has asked if I can rectify the tiling that's been done as it's quite poor in places and the people who have done it have had 3 goes at putting it right. It's all been done wrong, wrong adhesive, no decoup matting, no...
Yesterday I started working for a guy who was needing a hand on a job. I've had my own business for years and I was recommended when this lad was looking for someone. The job is huge. Something like 500m2. 6 travertine wet rooms/bathrooms.. Yadda yadda yadda. The travertine is 600 x 400 brick...
Hi
I am trying to install these tiles on my bathroom floor. They are laid out in a pinwheel pattern. As you can see from the pictures, there are some "slippage", which ends up with double width grout lines at regular intervals.
The large tiles are 20cm x 20cm, and the small tiles are 10cm x...
Hello, I have started to tile my floor, cross bonded with 50cm x 15cm tiles.
The floor was leveled and screeded before hand so I am working from a relatively flat surface.
I would say 90% of the tiles are level, I run my finger over them and they feel about right.
But on some, there is a...
Hi,

I have had a tiler in for the last two days to tile my bathroom with Porcelonosa rectified tiles - 440x660 on the floor (6.5m) & 330x1000 on the walls (10m).
When the tiler quoted for the work i stressed beforehand that i was looking for an A1 job, minimal-zero lippage etc etc...
I would be very much obliged if you could provide some advice on the following concerns that I have. A few years ago I tiled my hallway floor into my bathroom at one end, leading into a toilet midway and then into the kitchen at the adjacent end.
I fitted a tile that was 60cm x 15cm. Having...
Look pretty decent, I've never seen these before. A bit expensive in my opinion.
Anyone ever used them ? I imagine the pro's may laugh at them, but may be good for the tiling novice ?

So If i got a set of diamond pads on my variable speed polisher ...
Has anyone ever come across any sort of hand tool which is inserted between wall tiles and turned, lifting the lower of two tiles to eliminate any lippage there might be. I think i seen something like it once on youtube. From what i remember it was an american product. I'm not talking about...

Hi guys
I've done a few floor jobs now, and I've noticed with the last 2 especially that I'm suffering from lippage! I've taken every care when laying to make sure theres no lip but there always ends up 1 or 2 edges.
The customers have always been happy with the job, but I've noticed it and...
