Hi All
Had a panic when we had to rip out some of our floor tiles after a plumbing leak....
wondering about modern maintenance product for my Elon Mexican Saltillo tiles..... These were laid in my kitchen years ago - sealed with Bentens 500 sealer and Bentens No Buff polish to maintain. They...
I applied Lithotin stainstop to my newly installed sandstone tiles. Shortly after i had an issue with a water pipe and the stone got wet. Now there are dark puddles have dried on the stone and remain after a week. How do i remove the dark puddles?!
Hi
My tiler didn’t clean the grout haze from my new porcelain tiled floor. It’s not a glazed or polished porcelain.
I have used lithofin cement residue remover on the whole floor but I didn’t saturate the grout joints with water first. I lightly sprayed the floor with water before applying...
I've just painstakingly scrubbed/cleaned my kitchen tiles (& grout) with Lithofin Power Clean MN, which did a great job.
Bought some Lithofin grout sealer to finish off the job, which is proving to be really disappointing &, in all honesty, a waste of £20. After 2 coats (& sore knees), and...
Hi,
We're having some work done on the home and having some natural stone tiles fitted into our kitchen and orangery.
The tiles that we will be using are natural honed quartzite/slate. However, I am unsure as to which brand of sealant would be best.
The supplier of the tiles recommends that...
Hi Everyone,
We have black slate and white marble floor tiles in our hallway, chequerboard pattern. I wanted to clean them up and re-seal. Cleaned with soapy water then rolled on the Lithofin Stain Stop, and left to dry. It's left a greasy film on all the tiles. When I did the same in our...
Hello there.
I am writing to you, because I am looking for an advise with stone care.
Will try to explain everything step by step (sorry for my english in advance)
at the beginning the lime stone was treated by colour intensifier twice ( lithofin colour intensifier), then sealed by stainstop...
Hello. I am stripping and re-sealing a tumbled marble floor. Using Litho Stain Stop and then thinking of Litho multi-seal (topical?) - is Litho the product I need as it is expensive, or are they all the same?
Guessing once sealed shouldn't be using a steam cleaner..is that right?
Can I do...
Hi there
I'm a DIYer restoring a shower in my house. The tiles are limestone. Grouting and tiles have been throughly cleaned - and grouting sealant applied. I'm now ready to apply Lithofin Stain Stop. Should it be applied before or after Silicon sealant?
If before, how long must I leave it to...

Hello!
My wife and I just installed a new Carrara Marble kitchen work surface.
I've seen a lot of positive reviews about the Lithofin Stain stop. However, I am very curious on what staining it can repel and how long for?
Hypothetically,
if red wine accidentally dripped on the surface without...
I've got job where the original tiler on a job has been kicked off for among many things leaving some horrendous grout haze on the 600x600 porcelain floor tiles(1 wash over and left it by the look of it)
I have had success in cleaning off the kitchen floor with diluted Intensive Cleaner...
So today,
@JulianSidney, @GaryTheTiler and myself,
all went down to Arlesford in Hampshire, to
spend the day with Uncle Bob,
aka @Lithofin BOB our resident mad scientist!
And all we got was this bloody t-shirt!
Oh and hat, and sandwiches and coffee and biscuits! :D
Turns out Bob's not a mad...
I'm having a slight problem cleaning some adhesive residue from some Black riven slate today(not a lot, just it is showing up on the black slate)
Diluted Power Clean is not having the desired effect, so.......can I go to neat Power Clean without etching the slate?
Or is there something stronger...
Can I use patio cleaner to get this stuff off?
Water splashing on slate floor has water marked it.
What is the best treatment for a bathroom slate floor?
Yes I didn't read the bottle entirely but the tile shop recommended it.
I like to use a water based sealer on stone without to high a surface tension , I've mainly used Fila W68 but I am wondering has anyone tried the Lithofin MN Stain-Stop Eco sealer ?... And if so how did you find it worked ?.
We have cleaned down the tiles using a damp cloth to get rid of the chalky residue.
My plan is to seal them now with Lithofin Stain Stop, fit and then seal again.
How long should I wait between sealing the first time and fitting? And is there a special way for them to dry?
