Hi,
Planning to tile my bathroom in the next few weeks, the floor structure is chip board on the new extension size and floor boards on the old part of the bathroom. The floor is solid and I'm planning to put 6mm no more ply glued/screwed down.
Do I really need to put Ditra mat down? Part of...

Hi all,
Anyone ever come across a decoupling membrane called Decomat Pro and any opinions of it? It's a blue plastic circle pattern with a bluey-white fleece on the top and bottom.
Cheers
I spent ages preparing my wet room with impey tray and tanking system . I'm on a wooden floor (25mm ply) in upstairs bathroom and I want to protect the underfloor heating mat so tiler can start the wall first without damaging the heating mat. Could someone please recommend a good flexible self...

I am pricing a 100m+ limestone floor on top of wet UFH set in a concrete screed. I have used Ditra in the past but wondered if any of you have other preferences and why? A decoupling membrane has been specified but nothing has been mentioned about which one.
So, which one to use? Ditra, Dural...
All,
This isn't a query, just a brief summary of a situation I got myself into which you might want to avoid! In my wetroom project, I bought the tanking membrane right at the start of the job - I selected the Impey membrane as it looked relatively easy to install.
To avoid having to re-grout...

I'm sure the answer is here somewhere already and my apologies for asking this. I am, what I'd like to describe as, a competent DIYer and am now intending to create a wetroom in an existing first floor bathroom. It's a relatively small room, say about 2.5m x 2.5m. I want the smallest possible...

Hi,
Just venturing over from the plumbing forums. I'm after some advice about Ditra mat, I went to a tiling shop today for some quotes on tiles and mentioned that I have 2 different floor types (wooden floor boards on old part of house and sand and cement screed on the new extension) and need...

Hi,I'm installing an Impey tilesafe membrane on my wetroom floor and want to install underfloor heating. Impey recommend installing the ufh above the membrane and also say that fitting the ufh cable over the shower shower tray area to within about 150mm of the drain would be OK if I want to do...

hi all.........
i know the correct procedure is ufh under ditra matting, but there are tilers out there who prefer installing the other way round, ufh over ditra. Would there not be a risk of the ufh melting the ditra. lets say the control box or probe is faulty or hasn't been installed...

Hi everyone,
I've gone to see a job where the customer wants to use Schluter Ditra matting along with Warm Up UFH matting. The substrate is 18mm marine ply which is good news. What is the correct method for installing the ditra with the UFH and does ditra matting act as an insulation barrier...

Hi all!
Just wondering if anyone can Identify this type of membrane? I believe either that or the trap in a wetroom I have looked at has failed, and have removed tiles and found this membrane.
Its either self adhesive or fit using heat, as there is no flexi between it and the former, and it...
I have a 5 x 5m new extension floor to tile. The floor is sand and cement screed laid 4 weeks ago with under floor heating. The UFH has been commissioned and is on, slowly increasing the heat to warm the screed.
My question is whether I will need to fix a decoupling membrane (eg Ditra mat)...
