Tile Lippage, is 2mm too much?

Hello, I have started to tile my floor, cross bonded with 50cm x 15cm tiles. The floor was leveled and screeded before hand so I am working from a relatively flat surface. I would say 90% of the tiles are level, I run my finger over them and they feel about right. But on some, there is a...

    Too much UFH Left over?

What is the maximum ufh wires that can be left over and hidden under a bath? Just on a job where there's around 2.5 mtrs left over and have been advised that I can just hide them under the bath? The previous floor was chipboard and tiled using Unibond flex. adhesive by my good self. It was down for 7 years with no cracks. In fact it was bonded so well and was such a pain to...

Your opinion needed! Job's a good 'un? Or not so much.

Hi all! I've had an en-suite shower tiled by a builder who's done a major house renovation for us. I've been happy with the other work (plastering/electrics etc), but are hung up on the job done on this shower. I feel that it doesn't LOOK like the best tiling job, and beyond that it's had a...

    How much adhesive to use

Hi there, we are re-tiling our bathroom, putting new tiles over existing tiles. We have put primer on and are wondering if it is better to lay a bed of adhesive on the existing tiles on the wall or can we just put blobs of adhesive on the back of the new tiles? Tiles are 600 x 300, 10mm deep.

    Exceeding substrate weight limits.

How much weight do you think a properly fixed 1800x900 Porcel-thin tile can take? We have had to employ on our chinise cousins to do the test as the tiles are not yet in the U.K.... So, a big thanks goes out to our chinise "stig's!"!................Lee Wang, Ray Wong and Gary Chung...
