Good morning Ladies and Gents
I have a patio that needs cleaning and sealing. Which would be the best sealer to use?
Is it worth cleaning with a Jet wash first and leaving for a number of dry days before sealing or is a chemical clean better. I’ve seen that ‘wet ‘n forget’ stuff but no idea if...
Hi guys,
I recently had an indian sandstone patio installed, it looked great until I tried to seal it. After sealing I have been left with faint white spots on the slabs.
I used a flouropolymer sealant which I put down on saturday.
I believe this has been caused by the slabs not being fully...

Hi, my new patio has some flagstones with small 'pits' (barely breaking the surface really) in them (see attached photo). I've bought Adseal Stone and Slate Protector to seal it but while it makes the surface in general black the dots stay grey. I've experimented with a dab of mineral oil and...

Hi all , i am thinking of tiling an outside seating area with slate tiles just wondered if anyone has had any experience with this and knows weather they get slippery when wet like wooden decks , and if so weather they know of any products that can be used to negate this. also does slate tend to...
About a year ago, I had 64 sqm porcelain tiles installed on top of a concrete slab, forming a patio.
This was part of a large build, and there was a clear spec that the tile adhesive be applied as a "bed" using a "notched trowel method", which I think means that the whole underside of the tile...

Hi.
I need a bit of advice about a 95m2 patio I'm due to do in 1200x600 porcelain tiles.
The issue is with the substrate. It has drainage channels all around the walls which to me isn't needed as the substrate falls away from the house and only needed channels at the bottom end.
Long story...
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can either reassure me or provide some guidance on tiling outdoors.
So we're in the middle of a building project and using porcelain tiles to run through the kitchen, through bi fold doors and on to a patio to create a continuous surface.
The builder has put...
I'm soon to be laying some classic grey limestone random lengths in my garden . Just wondering on the best prep for it? It's currently just grass at the moment. Area to be tiled is approx 30sqm. I've never done any external tiling before so I was thinking of laying a concrete slab then tiling...

I hired a contractor to lay me a new patio using black limestone (that I provided from his preferred supplier).
The work was completed approx 2 weeks ago and payment was made. At the time he finished I made reference to the fact that the patio was dirty and needed a clean, but was told to leave...
