    Recommend Shower Room Substrate

Got a small walk in shower to rip out and re tile and was curious to know if there would be advantages to using a cement hardie type board instead of moisture resistant plaster board? I'm assuming both would require tanking, weight/type of tiles to be used currently unknown.
