Hi,
can you tell me what size of notches should I go for when using 500mmx250mm wall tiles and 300mmx300mm floor tiles.
I know that you tell 8mm notches for wall and 10mm for floor, but according to tilles manufacturer the adhesive should not be more than 5mm. So what should I use?
And what...

I've used patching plaster to a depth of 2-3mm in order to make good some areas. How long should I give it to dry, before tiling? (I will seal it with BAL APD Primer, when it is dry.)
Thanks.
We have been quoted around £**. This seems high to me, and I would appreciate any guidance. The front path needs replacing, as the quarry tiles that are currently in place are all cracked and many are missing.
I live in North London, and any advice would be really welcome!

Hello one and all,
I'm deeply concerned about the new tiles in my bathroom. I'm having the entire room renovated, using 12mm Travertine
on Marmox boards.
There are huge voids behind many of the tiles, and areas where there is clearly no adhesive at all. I can see the raw back...

When tiling a shower wall, should the adhesive be spread horizontal or vertical (or does it not matter)?
I remember reading somewhere once that you should spread it horizontal, so in the event that water gets under the tile, it cannot go any further down the back.
I have asked a few tilers...

I've been having an offline conversation with Sir Ramic (who has been excellent) and he suggested I bring my problem to the wider TilersForums group.
We're about to start a kitchen refit in a 13 year-old house. We'd like to tile the entire downstairs excluding the main living room - so the...
HI, I am about to tile with porcelain tiles onto a concrete floor in a new build flat.
Tiles are I am told 30 x 40cm.

Floors are apparently dry and confirmed as such, because client is having a wooden floor also installed in the lounge area and...
Hi, I've just joined the forum as I am about to tile my bathroom which has now been prepared for tiling.

The tiles I have bought are 276 x 361 x 9mm.

Hi
Got a bit of a struggle going on between my head and my gut with this one.
I'm just about to start tiling a wall in my bathroom, but on mounting my baton horizontally, it has come screamingly to my attention that the floor and window are really quite far off the horizontal. It's a 100+...
