I dont find estimating easy and try to give a fair price. If the job involves various elements then the price increases accordingly.
But when I was told the guy who got the job went in at HALF my price I had to laugh and thought whats the point of trying to work everything out?:mad2:

I’ve seen the tile the customer wants fixed. It’s a 30mm terracotta tile. It is not real terracotta though. It’s a reconstituted type of tile. The company says it does not need sealing. I am still requesting more info on this tile. My question is, at 30mm is this more like a paving slab...

Hi everyone at Tilers,
I am restoring one of the ruins on my land in Extremadura. The ruin has beautiful dry stone walls but the terracotta roof is leaky and the floor is just concrete and it would be good to liven it up a bit.
I would like to tile the floor and would love it if you could give...

Hi. It looks as though the plumber may have to remove some of the teracotta floor tiles on our kitchen floor because we have a leak coming from a pipe underneath. He has promised to try and be careful not to break them but will a tiler be able just to grout them in again without too much trouble.

Hi chaps,
Just moved into a new house and to say the floor has been abused would be an understatement.
It looks as if someone went to a lot of effort and expense to lay them then simply didn't bother to clean them again.
Up until now I've used LTP power stripper (1:4 dose, 3 applications)...

We're having quite a storm here, cold, windy, rain hammering down......Robby's baseball game was cancelled and he was quite unhappy.
So, I was up here in my office, listening to the rain batter the side of the house, hearing thumps and bangs, and I...
Hi Fellas,Any one recommend a sealer for terracotta floor job ,got about 20m2 or so,have heard you need to give it 4 coats but I would have thought now days there must be something on the market that could suffice with two coats.
Would it be less hassle to seal before laying as opposed to...
