tubbed
Tubal ligation (commonly known as having one's "tubes tied") is a surgical procedure for female sterilization in which the fallopian tubes are permanently blocked, clipped or removed. This prevents the fertilization of eggs by sperm and thus the implantation of a fertilized egg. Tubal ligation is considered a permanent method of sterilization and birth control.
My tiles are moving after 3 days of been layed on Cement floor. I used MapeGrip D2. just seen a date on the side 9/06/23 what does that mean? I did put the tiles on the same floor about 10+ years ago with ease
We have our bathroom renovated and contracted an experienced tiler to do the tiling job. We removed 2 of the tiles after more than 48 hours as they had misaligned corners. We noticed there seem to be limited area were the tile BAL ready mixed adhesive has actually bonded to the green...
Hi Guys
I recently bought 600x300 wall tiles direct from Johnsons and the above adhesive is what they advised and sold to me. I queried it and they insisted it was the correct one. Just wanted opinions on this as a 6mm trowel doesn't seem much adhesive for such a large tile.
Thanks for your help
Hi all
About to tile kitchen backsplash with these tiles

They are sheets of 30 x 30cm mosaic - I know that the bagged adhesive is the best - but I find it messy too so would rather go for a tub for these small format tiles
Just wondering on thoughts on a...
In a bit of a nightmare here
We recently spent a lot of money having our bathroom re-plastered (plaster board and skimmed) to make the walls smooth and square ready for tiling
My dad and husband have been tiling it and have done a lovely job! (My dad has done it a few times but it’s my...
Hi all.
I'd usually use bagged adhesive but the job is in a flat and I'd rather not mix inside.
Can anyone recommend a ready mixed adhesive that would be suitable for tiling half way up a bathroom? There's no shower so it would just be round the bath and over the sink etc.
Yes, this is what I'm doing today! No porcelain, polished or otherwise. No stone, no quartz, no sealers involved, no decoupling or levelling or days of prep. Just simple kitchen walls with plain old ceramics. Unbelievable. First time in almost a year I've used tubbed addy. :)

If the maximum size of tile for tubbed addy is 300m x 300m then surely there will be a maximum size of notched trowel. I never use the stuff personally but just wondered what your thoughts are ? I would have thought maybe 6mm trowel max ?
You will see me on here more and more.. learning more each week, and keeping at it.
I have quite a few kitchensplash / bathrooms to do in student accommodation (shower only in bathrooms)

Some of you may remember a little while back i got caught up in a bit of a rant by stating someone should not of used, what i believed was tubbed adhesive. Brand and product in particular was BAL whitestar. I think i proved myself to be correct before.

Hi all. If all goes to plan I should finally be getting round to doing some tiling tomorrow. The adhesive I'll be using is Mapei Adesilex PS. I've only ever used tubbed stuff in the past. so was wondering if anyone had any hints or tips on mixing and using this stuff. Cheers.
I'm playing devil's advocate here.
I've been asked a question a couple of times in recent weeks I can't answer.
There's a very strong tone on this forum saying tubbed adhesive is 'crap' , 'rubbish', 'useless' 'wouldn't even use it for a splashback' etc. Now mixed adhesive is a must for large...

I was given a free bag of Adsilex P9 to try. It was recommended by my usual supplier, as they said that's what most of their lads used, as opposed to using tubbed addy.
Just wondered if anyone here uses it instead of tubbed, and if you still use tubbed ever?
I decided to use it one the...
