Tubal ligation (commonly known as having one's "tubes tied") is a surgical procedure for female sterilization in which the fallopian tubes are permanently blocked, clipped or removed. This prevents the fertilization of eggs by sperm and thus the implantation of a fertilized egg. Tubal ligation is considered a permanent method of sterilization and birth control.
Hi all,
I'm neeing advice on what tubbed adhesive to get (from B&Q) for ceramic wall tiles (30x20) on tanked plasterboard walls.
I'm hopeless at mixing bagged stuff, I cant get the consistency right (tiles sliding down the walls!), it goes off to soon and I'm wasting a lot of it each time ive...
At last, a customer who's happy to have small format ceramics on her walls. It's so long since I did one that I don't know what Mapei product is best/cheapest....... Bathroom with shower bath (will tank and use cement based powder for wet area) but what is best product for the rest please??
Cheers.
Started a job today on shower room, started removing the existing tiles and found them to have tubbed addy spread around the edge of each tile at a depth of between 15mm to 20mm :yikes:
Once I got the first tile off the rest just fell of in rows, only the grout holding them on.
Here are...
Not used tubbed gear for some years now, but this customer has supplied excell bond waterproof tub addy and I must say it is really nice to work with, has a good consistency, spreads well and fully adheres to the back of the tile. I'm impressed.
customer texed to say they bought me this stuff after i told them i need cemetious bagged. "they were sold it for a few quid less because they have bought their tiles aswell" .
will it be ok for those size tiles?
thanks

This heatwave is causing real problems with the rapid set...it's going off faster than I can get it upstairs to use it!
can you use tubbed adhesive for 50x25cm tiles? If not, I will have to try standard flexi but I suspect that will go off quickly too.....
any ideas anyone??
Just thought I would share with you a pic I took this morning. Was asked if I would just re-grout the bottom course of tiles in a problem shower area. Had previously told customer that I thought problems were deeper than he anticipated.
Having removed what was left of the grout on first...

Hello all,
I'm going to be fixing 330x250 ceramic tiles in a toilet. The substrate is a mix of plasterboard and plaster walls. I'm debating whether to use tubbed or bagged adhesive. Given the size of the tiles which is verging on large format would tubbed be ok or should I go with a cementious...
I've read on a few threads, guys only using tubbed addy on tiles upto a certain size. My question is, if you were tiling with ceramic tiles, how big would you go, before going to cement based addy, and does acrylic addy make any difference to standard tubbed?
Cheers Edd
Is it normal for adhesive to take time to go off when using it on new render?
I have tiled onto a newly rendered wall - wall was rendered using a product called limelite renovating plaster, a mix of sand/cement with some lime in there. It's not a plaster in the sense that bonding coat etc is...

Just a thought. It seems that I don't have much of a choice with regard to adhesive, apart from BAL mosaic at around £30 inc vat. That's the price from CTD, with my discount!
However they are doing white star on promotion at the moment (Plymouth store only). As the mosaics are going to be in...
