Gentlemen, just looked at a Victorian floor in a hallway. The couple just ripped up the laminate flooring and to their surprise was a lovely geo floor.
Its really dirty covered in grime as you can imagine!
What would you recommend to clean these up? And give them a nice refurb?
Any and all...
We have bought reproduction Victorian mosaic tiles (supplier: "Original Style") to fill a small porch area (1m x 1.5m). We have designed the pattern, laid out the tiles on paper - now need a tiler experienced in laying these small geometric tiles. The floor has been newly concreted & skimmed...

I'm tiling a Victorian fireplace in my own home. I started by ripping up the old tiles and using a latex compound to level the floor as well as concrete repair to fill the old cracks and holes.
The fireplace has laminate flooring laid up to it at the moment with beading. I'm laying mosaic...

Here's a small Victorian bathroom floor completed just before Christmas.
It was originally done by the tiler who did the walls but the client was so unhappy with it, it was condemned! It was ripped up and I was asked to re lay the floor.
Now I'm going back to do a small cloakroom in a Geo tile...

This was a floor I did last summer.
It was part existing floor and part new build. Unfortunately no-one thought about the end result, even tho the builder knew a Geo floor was going down. The result being that the new extension was not built on the same line as the original building, meaning...

Hi,
Had a bit of nightmare at work. I poured some floor level onto a step which was to be tiled with new victorian geometric. I then went to get some lunch, when I came back the level had broken/leaked through the barrier I'd set up, and had run all over remaining victorian geometric floor...

These Victorian tiles come on a paper mesh. In most cases the mesh has been doubled up on the back of the tiles. i.e. there are 2 overlapping layers of paper mesh holding the tiles together.
There is the usual notice in the boxes of tiles stating that due to shrinkage of the mesh the tiles...

I have been trying to clean the Victorian encaustic tiles in my hallway. I got them a lot cleaner using KF Tile Restorer, which I followed with Stain Stop. However the Stain Stop has a matt finish and I'd like them slightly shiny if possible, and to try and bring out the colours a bit more...

We have taken up the carpet in the hallway of our old house to expose the original black and buff quarry tiles. However, there are several problems. The tiles have at some point in the past been screeded over and it has proved impossible to remove most of the screed without cracking the tiles...

Hi all. First time poster on here so please bear with me!
I'm laying a Victorian mosaic floor as a pathway to the front door. See pic for an attempted dry layout. Any of you guys have any tips on a) what grout to use outdoors for these, and b) what sealant to use once they're properly cleaned...

The tiles are mainly red and 'yellow' with a black border. Approximately 50% are cracked or chipped and need replacing. We have tried to source some...

I went to see a job today where the builder tried to do the tiling and bailed the job when he realised it was going pear shaped. Believe me it looks worse than it looks in the pics. Well at least he stopped without wasting too many tiles!
