Evening all
I have a small path to tile
(about 3.5m2) that I need to prep before tiling. Basically I need to smooth it out as the finish is a bit rough on top for the tile that I'll be using and it will look wavey. It also dives in around the edge by a fair bit say 6-8mm where they've used a...

Hello all,
I had my hallway floor installes by a builder 3 years ago, dug out, underfloor heating and victorian tiles laid. Now they are crunching underneath in a part where the underfloor heating is (its not all the way underneath). No signs of cracking or lifting yet.
Ive found this thread...
Hi everyone, we recently had our Victorian hallway floor tiles cleaned with an acid wash but have since noticed white 'cloudy' patches appearing on a few of the tiles. Because the job overran before Christmas, the floor was not sealed which was obviously not ideal. How can we clean the white...

I'm in the throes of a front garden restoration project across 6 terraced houses in London, SE18 and seeking a tiler to complete 3 pathways. Some have the original Victorian pathway intact but the others have had to be removed due to their being unsalvageable. I'm getting very...
hello,
I'm new to posting on the forum but have had a good look around and have already found lots of interesting and valuable advice. It seems there are some decidedly baddass experts who contribute! Thank you for the info I have already gleaned and I hope you might be able to help me with a...

In the course of getting my living room floor restored, I've discovered that underneath the boring old terracotta tiles on the fireplace hearth are some attractive patterned Victorian tiles. However the terracotta tiles have been fixed on top of them, with what looks like cement. Is it possible...

So my Victorian pathway should have been completed over 5 weeks ago!
The job started literally 5 weeks back but it has been stop start due to the tiler only working in dry conditions and above 5c (he has also not attended twice due to an accident on his thumb and a funeral).
Anyhow the main...

evening! I'm after some options for the hallway at home, the Mrs really wants a traditional Victorian floor down but I know the tiles cost a fortune, any affordable options that don't look naf?

So I poured the concrete path to my house and surprise surprise, the thing isn't square. It's 10 metres long and about 40mm out, which when laying geometric tiles will look like it's country mile off. i spent so much time getting everything right and then messed it up, how do i rectify this...
the front facade of my house and my front wall aren't exactly parallel, im busy with the formwork to pour the concrete slab ready for victorian, geometric tiles. i'd like to know if i square the tiles with the house or the front wall.
