When tanking a marine ply floor with a paint-on tanking product, should these type of waterproof pipe collars be used, or is the tanking enough? If used, would they go on before or after tanking product is applied?
Pipes would be going through the floor from bath, basin, radiator, toilet supply...

We are choosing wall tiles to redecorate our bathroom. We have found some tiles in Wickes that are displayed in a typical bathroom layout and are specified for bathroom use excluding wet rooms.
Our bathroom is very small and we get a lot of condensation, the shower is wall mounted and flows...

Got a kitchen to tile that's had 2 different layers of paint on the plasterboard. 1st layer is that heavy waterproof paint and the 2nd layer is just an awful yellow. Tried to sand it back a bit but it's proving a nightmare. Debating whether to keep going with it or just score it with a blade...
Hi,
Could anyone recommend a 100% waterproof cement based tile adhesive that is powder form and can be mixed only with water prior to application.
Does a product like this exist here in the UK?
Thanks

The problem
Most of us have had some experience of the damage that can be caused when tiled bathrooms and wet areas are not sealed properly against intrusive water and moisture. Unsightly damp patches constantly re-appear on the ceiling in the room below your bathroom, not to mention the...

My wife is onto me about some paneling in our new bathroom with wetroom floor. She likes the wainscotting panel look but can't seem to locate it anywhere. We've found a place that sells moisture resistant MDF panels. I'm wondering will this do for around the bathroom walls and tile the wet room...

Sorry if this question seems silly,
I am going to use mapei waterproof kit from screwfix on a customers bath in 2 days time.
Do I fill the bath with water then apply the joint tape?
Customer is going to prepare the walls with no more ply so will this be OK to use on it?
Thanks in advance...

Which waterproof tanking system do you use to tank your showers / bathrooms / wetrooms?
If your product isn't on the list let me know and I'll add it. I've pulled up the names from an old thread. So they might have changed now. If they have, let me know and I'll change them on the poll.
I was recently asked to remove & replace the Silicon sealant around a shower tray. When I got to the job I found that apparently it had been leaking through to the ceiling below. Not surprising I thought when I saw the cracks in the floor of the (big) tray. I pointed out that there's no real...
