Hi
I'm looking for some recommendations for quality Metro tiles. I had been going to get a sample of the Laura Ashley from BTC but you guys seem to suggest these are awful! I don't want beveled or crazed. I want a quality smooth tile in subtle colours.
Any suggestions? all the smooth ones...

Apologies if this has been covered by another thread. I'm about to embark on tiling my kitchen splashback/windowsill. I'm using tiles 300mm x 100mm but my window sill plinth is currently only about 90mm above the worktop. I'm thinking of building up the height of the existing plinth to allow...

Anybody used the riamonde levelling system,I have used the lash clip ones but it hurts your fingers after a while, thinking of going the painless way,or do I stick to doing it without either to keep the cost down as you can spend £30/£60 a standard size bathroom, for the clips
Hi All,
need to tile a small splashback (using 10x10 tiles) roughly 60cm wide x 50cm high on the wall behind my cooker. The cooker is the freestanding slot in type. My question is what is considered the norm for how low these tiles go?
1 Should I be looking to tile below where the cooker top is...

Hello fellow tilers,
Can anybody please tell me what they have found to be their best method for removing a glass splashback, as my customers now require ceramic tile splashback instead, i presume it has been siliconed on.
Many thanks

Sent a customer down to the local Tile Giant to look at their Splashbacks, 600mm x 750mm roughly.
They were looking at the limegreen one & were told by T/G staff that they have had issues with this particular colour, there is a chemical reaction happening & the adhesive is turning the green...

Hi all,
Error made and thought I'd share. Had to fit a 750 x 600 glass splash back behind an Aga. Now the wall was pretty battered and the flue was very much in the way. Decided to put the adhesive on the Glass back, found out it had just been spray painted black and using all I knew, ran a...

Hi,
I'm needing to do some small repairs on a wall which has went back to sand and cement, what would you suggest? I was going to repair with gypsum joint filler is this ok? It's just a small repair.
I would like to tile the same day other wise I would bond and skim.
Cheers

Lash Clips (raimondi).
One of my big locals told me they were for getting in a dozen big sets of them and would love me to try a set out for them.
The manager tells me he seen a floor lately tiled using them and could not believe how perfect it looked.
Now i can tile really well but will try...

Hello all,
Please see the attached pictures. I am a Diy'er.
The Wall - multi finish - painted.
The worktop - laminated chipboard.
I want to create a black-splash (including the side of the sink) to protect the rear/side of the chipboard worktop from water that could potentially get through...

Hello everyone,
This is my first post ever, and what a stinker of a problem it is!
I removed the laminated chipboard kitchen counter top that the sink sits in. On the wall are the tiles - in which the 10 yr. old grout has failed.
I almost laid an egg!
