I have gutted a shower room with the intention of creating a wet room.
The floor tiles were lifting due to the bad flooring install
This leads me on to asking for your educated advice,
1. In your opinions what wet room try/base would you suggest I install (1200x1200mm)?
2. The existing...

I'm on a new house at the moment, 100m of 900x450 porcelain, onto a sand and cement screed. This is phase one, I haven't been asked to price for the bathrooms (Yet)
For some reason, the rest of the house has a gypsum screed, including 3 of the 4 bathrooms. These are not that common over here...
I am confused about the principle behind tanking a wetroom. In the event of a flood, water will simply find its way through the door to the next room. I don't understand the logic behind tanking a wetroom if this can happen? Tanking is supposed to protect substrates, but adhesive and grout is...
