I hope someone can advise?
We are lucky enough to own a 130 year old stone and slate farmhouse in France. It has an original slate flagstone floor on the ground floor. We are now getting to close being able to renovate/clean the floor itself and are unsure as to what to use.
Some of the flagstone are approximately 6 feet long so quite large. The room itself is approximately 10 metres long by 5 metres wide so quite a large area (we need to keep costs as low as possible).
Do we need to use a specialist cleaner first or can we just scrub it clean then use some kind of sealer? Then what kind of sealer should we use? We would need something fairly hard wearing as we will be in and out all the time working when we eventually move there
