The only thing with that is that you can start getting soft with what you expect of your labour by giving them more time than necessary:builder2:But it is a good excercise to get in the habit of doing

Perhaps a standard m2 rate of £15 then say an extra 1hour (at their hourly rate) per day for loading up?

Just put in your usual price for fixing ceramic, wheather 20 notes, 25 notes and wait for the re-call to accept you quote. Some you win, some you lose. I'm working on 600 x600 porcelians at the moment ** a m2 , low but it pays the bills.

If you are employing people to do this, then you will need to be somewhere near the domestic rate, as you are going to need to pay for the labour, the materials and make a bit of profit as well allowing for your income tax, which you wouldn't be able to do for much less than £30/m2, however if you are doing it yourself, I would say realistically you would need to be charging between £18-23/m2.depending on your supplier costs.

I would always start with the base m2 rate that you would give the lads then add overheads, nat.ins., van, etc...

So yes, as Ken says, you may end up with something around the late £20's
