So not one of you can actually answer the question asked?

That came across as a bit arrogant. Maybe you should listen to what you're being asked.... I'm sure people could answer if you gave the whole picture. But I'm curious..... why are you asking? have you had a failure?

Hows this for a coincidence? I was recently asked (was actually on Wednesday) for an independent answer to a question from the service department of a local company. Apparently their customer purchased his products from them online back in April and didn't seek any advise on prep or what to use, so I presumed he had a tiler that knew what he was doing. But he didn't. Anyway, this chap from Cheshire, his tiler tried to put 300x100 tiles up with Bostik A100 Showerproof (D1), no spacers, onto plywood which he'd PVA'd the face with a 50/50 solution.

From the image i saw the adhesive had kind of stuck to the ply (say kind of, it would actually have been stuck to the PVA skin), but there was no back-buttering on the tile and they had slipped, so the customer was questioning why the adhesive hadn't set properly after only 18 hours. His tiler said the adhesive was faulty but I find that extremely unlikely.

But anyway, back to your initial question and lets start from the very beginning. What substrate is it that are you tiling onto?

Myself and another tiler did 5K mtrs of 300x100 for Winvic. We didn't use one spacer on the whole job.
It helps if you're doing brickbond because you can straighten any imperfections as you go by placing the next course against the previous then lifting 2 mm.
Laser the wall, work to that, do about 4-6 courses, move laser up to next section, adjust as needs be, repeat.
