i first came on this forum in sept/oct 2006..cant believe where those 6 years have gone!! and 600,000 is phenominal!!!
there have been other tile forums and there will be more but i can guarantee you this, they wont be as good because they havent got the content, history or popularity of this place...we can all do each others heads in now and again but so what, we get over it lol ;0)

That is so true Ed. the members work hard to make tilers forums the place it is, some members come and go etc and so do other forums as you say but it is time and dedication by you lot that make it what it is.

So keep up the fantastic work guys/ gals as this is your forum and you make it work.

That's only based on an average of 100k per year. When in fact it takes a lot lot longer when you first start a forum to get 100k. And we got out last 100k in less than a year.

So keep it up and we should have a party towards the end of next year if we're lucky, early year after if not.

You tend to find with newer forums, threads just get created that have existed on established ones for years, so you're either repeating yourself for the sake of it, or nobody replies. Neither is good for a forum long-term. Most end up shutting due to lack of interest as we know too well with some of our competitors websites.
