60x60 porcelain onto concrete screed with water underfloor heating. Advice please

I'm thinking some sort of flexible adhesive, 3mm grout lines, hopefully cutting with rubi TS60

was wondering if anyone can offer any advice as to recommended adhesive, trowel depth for this size tile, alternatives for cutting should the rubi not break through cleanly

it's quite a large area so I want to be aware of any potential issues before I start

any comments or advise would be much appreciated

I'm not exactly sure what 'commissioning' involves.. is it a bleeding process? I believe this is important but not sure why..
The system has been used for quite some time already but I need to check with the customer. It would be good to know the technicalities of how it could potentially affect the tiling job

Basicly it is firing up the heating to commission the screed.. as in it heating the screed to make it expand for it's first time.. if that has been done then no probs.

you'd be better off with a sigma for those tiles, i had a ts60, only good for ceramics. what sort of screed is it? if it's gyvlon/anhydrite it may need prepping first but you'll get all the info on here

just been having a look at those Sigmas, looks like a nice bit of kit! If they cut anything like they do on the youtube videos I'll be laughing. Seen them at £200 which doesn't sound bad compared to a rubi

It's wether you want a pull cutting action or the push version, I could'nt get on with the pull action and changed for klick klock cutting handle..

I didn't realise they did both types... think I need to find them in store and have a play around with them. The klick klock does look appealing to me

I would recommend doing a search on here, there will be all the information you need and more. It is well worth getting your self armed with all the info you can as there is a lot that can go wrong.

yes exactly Rich, I have done enough tiling to be confident but I am aware that different factors come into play with different situations and if you're not clued up you could have a disaster. That's why this forum is so invaluable, especially to me being quite new to the job. Cheers
