Be fair I was just talking of the laying down not removing the boards etc, if they needed to the insulation could be over screeded but on the calculation I worked on was 70mm screed.

A day to remove if needed for a couple of guys.

I'm not too sure but i'm guessing he may be thinking of anchour bolting it, if he does then i'm pretty sure it will leave the end of the bolt and washer etc protruding through the surface....... Erm so may then need to get over these somehow.

Like i say i aint too sure but a few of the builders i have met say they are going to Hilti fix something but they actually end up anchour bolting it. Might wanna ask them exactly how there gonna do it mate

Just realised that you were talking about a floating floor.......... Although it clearly says 70m2 Floating Chipboard floor!I only paid attention to the chipboard part. The floor i was saying i done with screws and no-more-ply was nailed down on joists and noggins. It was only when i read that the builder was gonna Hilti fix it that i twigged what i said!!! Sorry for the miss-understanding and thank christ you didn't listen to me :yikes:.

it will be cheaper in the long run as there is no guaranteed method for tiling on a floating chipboard floor
