cheers mate was rushing before but the last week or 2 now ive slowed down a bit, realised I was pushing myself to be fast rather than taking care in the work as I wanted to catch up with my workmates... but im seing its not about that rite now cheers

takes me a day to fix an en-suite and above the bath then spend the next morning grouting up and onto the next one lol love my job and being able to just crack on with no worries and nobody on my back is great

Ash that's not bad going doing an ensuite & above the bath, as long as your making money & enjoying it then keep going.
You will get quicker the more you learn.

On 2&3 if at all possible use the portion of tile you cut off or a similar piece to follow the pattern around the corner.

yeh if it was a private job mate that is what would happen but as the spec onb site is for the tiles to finnish as close to the end of the bath/tray as possible this is just how its done.... its all just for speed really

thanks stef yeh its not too bad but that is also because I set out the same way most of the time unless its the diamond windows so it rolls pretty smoothly most of the time lol

2mm mate use those all the time got a load on the van lol, oh and have me own work van now so can get to and from the jobs with a free fuel card

Couldn't agree more mate, but it is what it is and nobody will dictate to me on my own jobs

I've never tiled on sites, but I have done plumbing 1st & 2nd fixes.
Unfortunately to make a bit of money, keep in front of other trades, and other pressures. You have to cut a bit of quality for speed. So I'm with ash on this one, but only on site work. Unfortunately it's how it is!
