Acoustic SI- will give you an overall sound reduction of 17Db on all substrates. The thickness is approx 6mm and you should seal the perimeter of the room with Perimeter Movement Strips, this is in order to bridge the sound from the floors to the walls, which can also travel throughout a building. The floor should be primed in advance of applying a polymer modified flexible adhesive (2-3mm) The boards are then laid over and the substrate should be ready to take the tiles. For wet areas then I would change the spec over to Acoustic SS. Hope this helps...
