Adhesive Question

Hello, looking for some advice on a DCF. I am tiling onto existing tiles with new tiles, porcelain 60 cm x 30 cm.

I intend to use NX standard set powder, which is suitable for porcelain tiles as it is cement-based.

do I need a special adhesive When tiling onto existing tile, if so what brands, thank you.

Your first issue is the wall substrate can only hold a certain amount of weight and adding more weight could well result in a failure.

The old tiles are well fit. But how would you if the substrate or wall underneath would fail?
Is it a case of trial and error?

Just pointing out a possibility 👍.

as for getting them to bond , a primer like eco-prim grip is a recommended product by Mapei

I appreciate the reply and advice. I do have primer already etc. Is there any additional prep needed to rough the tiles up etc? Or just a good bed of adhesive and proper fitting.?

Just degrease ( sugar soap ) and dry before primer.
