advice choosing a new van

That was the main reason it took so long to find the one I eventually bought. It really was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of transits on offer, provided you wanted them hanging with rust!

Good van for that money.
i run an o7 lwb transit. Had it remapped, goes like:ban:Even fully loaded. Chucks out some nice black clouds on acceleration.

make sure you change the oil every 8,000 miles. With that mileage may be worth changing the front pulley. They have a rubber mount to reduce noise, but are ready to go at 80,000.
when they go it takes the fan into the radiator.

Good advice - fortunately I know a mechanic who does all my maintenance - I can change the oil and top up the windscreen washer fluid, but thats about as far as my "mechanical' knowledge goes!

I had my Transit Terra cleaned, it gets a lot of carbon out of the engine and takes about an hour....

Going to google terra clean!

This is the crap that came out of my engine and exhaust, it works on both from my understanding...

thanks for this nugget about terraclean. Niece's car only just scraped through it's MOT on emissions and stepdad is on about getting rid of it because of that but it's only done 70k miles at 12 years old! anything we can do to get the emissions down will be a godsend.
