advice on kitchen floor please

Hi i have a 30 metre kitchen floor and we hate the tiles, they have been down 6 years porcelain slate effect 400x400 fixed on a wooden floor, will they come up very easy, they were fitted by a good tiler if they will come up we would like to lay 800x800 or larger tiles any help would be greatly appreciated

If it was done properly, then it will be hard going to lift it, but as above, you won't know till you try.....

i laid 6mm ply over the original floor boards screwed down at 6 inch centres thanks for replys

Once you get a couple of tiles up, you will be able to get a utility bar under the 6mm ply and it will just "ping" up IMO.

Rip all the 6mm ply up and overboard with 6mm cement boards or min 12mm ply before attempting any further tiling, please.
