Got to go and look at a new kitchen floor that has been fitted in a extension. It has got waterproof chipboard installed and i am wondering whether it will have to be ply boarded or not and also what is the best adhesive to use, thanks.

Is this chipboard really waterproof anyway? Or is water "resistant" more appropriate? Can't imaging allowing it to sit in water without it blowing, "waterproof" or not!

Hi piehead mate....I always ply out anyway...( just to make sure.)....
And use the usual flexi adhesive and grouts......

One of the sites im on has used 'waterproof' chipboard. It has a grey plastic coating on it. As usual site work is more a case of 'just do it' or in our case just tile it. Using flexi grout and addy and all seems OK so far with the houses that are sold.
If it was mine i'd sheet it though!
