Hi all,
Went out to price 17 m2 bathrooom for ceramics the other day, the bathroom is currently tiled half way up. I explained these would needed removing and the wall would ptobably need re sheeting aswell. The customers where an old couple who didnt look that well off, the tiles they are using are very cheap ceramic.
They insisted that i tile on top of tile (they seem sound enough) but how do i over come the hieght issue. What i was thinking of doing was tile all areas that have not been tiled with cheap ceramics to build these up to current hieght using rapid set. wash with sugar soap, score tiles and then i should be ok to tile the whole bathroom will this be ok.
I have charged accordingly for this £23 per m2 + £100 to make walls right. total cost £490. Does this seem ok for the trouble?
What would you do , take it on or insist on removing old and resheeting?
any help would be great
