i sent a customer out yesterday to al murad tile shop to get some primer they came back with pva asked him why he had got it he told me thats what he was given instead of primer so i told him to take it back as it was no good so he did then when he gets to the shop the sales man phoned me up asking why the pva was no good so i told him pva was no good for ply and that you need to use primer he told me he did not know what primer was so i just put the phone down has anybody else had dealings with this company :mad2:

al murads yes ive had dealings with them a local kitchen company has an account with al murads so they get the tiles from there i was there this morning funnily enough took the lad about an hour to find on tile and tried selling al murad own brand adhesive er no thanks

i deal with the Huddersfield branch
i find them brilliant nothing to much trouble
they stock a full range of mapei (including primer )
and a good range of tiles,limestone,granite and travertine
all very competitively priced

I had a trade card land on the doorstep this morning they seem to have done away with the more traditional bartering at the counter that ive become accustomed to in the Wakefield branch. :whatchutalkingabout

Don't see why guys have to barter for a discount as there trade.

They never had (until now) trade accounts at Al Murad in Wakefield, you simply went in and told the manager that your customer wanted x tile and did a deal with him on how much he was going to knock you off for trade. Usually ended up at the 30% mark, it seems though now they have formalised the trade discount.

yeh i used to barter wi al murhads but got the trade card thru other day tho
