And more to the point you'll fly through it mate, a dodle when you know what you're doing, I know newer assessors (5 or 6 years tiling) to the trade than you mate.

They send accessors out to see you but they have certain areas they visit

my assesor never bothered coming out to see me. just sent a load of questions and a list of photos he needed and asked for headed paper, business cards and my unique tax ref. number. i sent them in last week and he says i'll have my n.v.q. in 10 weeks. all free funded of course

Funding for NVQ's has finished in most areas, unless the Skills Funding Agency (previously the LSC) highlight a need for funding to help create opportunities for work. Normally in your regeneration areas. Best place for funding these days is at your local college. The SFA has pulled the plug on funding small private training centres in most areas across the country....

The only private training centres that can get funding for NVQ's are generally linked to a large consortium of Publicly Funded colleges who pay a minimal fee to the small private 'subby' college for assessing the qualification.

Quite simply - funded NVQ's are mainly done at normal bigger colleges these days
