b.s 5385 part 4, all wet ,bath and shower rooms in residential and commercial premises must be appropriately waterproofed, so it looks like we will all be doing a lot more tanking and customers will be paying at least an extra £100 per bathroom

I think it will come in to play when you try and sell the property when you need to show that all refurbishment meets current standards and regulations in the home inf pack ,i am reading this from the tsj, so i am no expert but if its now in the b.s5385 i will follow it

It doesn't state that will be applied to the hips pack in tsj though gary..

It should but deffo no mention of it in tsj..i have a copy in front of me..

Nice in theory. But if I turned down every job where a customer did not want tanking, after I offered it I would be sat at home whilst someone else did it, without !!
Some people do not want to pay for it !!

totally agree mate with that i will always offer tanking explain the advantages of it but very few take me up on the offer i will always try and follow the bs standards if possible but i wouldnt turn down a job if a customer didnt want tanking or id have no work
