Are they just for floor tiles ?

That is what they were designed for but can't see why the wouldn't work on walls if you needed to find an angle.

The angle finder works on any tile wall or floor, just put the red triangle bit in the right angle of the last two tiles and stretch the bar out until it reaches the angle of the wall. then lift out and place on a new tile in the corner and mark out and cut.
