Strangely enough am discussing this somewhere else. I think you can do better than that Makita grinder (which i also have). You may need a higher spec with soft start (lose the torque reaction), variable speed (for different stones or glass) and 110V (for using outside / near wet stuff / safety). That spec grinder costs you about 3 times more (125~150) than the basic grinder shown (about 50). Makita is a superb make for grinders so stick with them. You can also get them anti-kick in case they snag. I think your biggest problem is probably clamping those small bits of glass as you will need both hands to control the grinder (until you get used to it). I have the basic 240V high power Makita, it’s great, but a devil to control ref torque reaction. With any grinder you need excellent goggles and a mask plus ear muffs. The flip down visors are sometimes better as they don’t mist up. Don’t even turn the thing on without eye, nose and ear protection and good clamping for your glass / tile!
(i hear from someone else that Tradetiler have obtained the higher spec grinder for someone else upon request, the Makita UK website list all their grinder and highlights the ones with soft start and variable speed)
I would try a grinder in a shop or from a friend if you can, some get on with them, some don’t. (I wouldn’t be without mine)
Ps – you also need to save a chunk of money for a top quality diamond blade (eg Marcrist), a great grinder with a cheap blade is rubbish.
