J4CK THE RIPPER

Hello,

I have wanted to train as tiler now for some time after research decided that eventually want to achive an NVQ 2 in tiling to get this qualifacation you need to have either 3 years experience or have achived an Intermediate construction award [ICA].

There only seems to be 2 training centeres in the UK that offer the training to achive the ICA qualifaction these are Able Skills and Chase tiling. Able Skills would be the first choice for me as it is only 25 miles away but i have seen no feedback for this center good or bad which is surprising considering they teach plumbing, electrics, carpentry etc. Chase tiling has plenty of good feedback and only teach tiling which is persuading me to book in there i would have to travel to Birmingham from Essex and stay there for the length of the course which a'int to much of a big deal.

I might even do a week's course at Able Skills for about £350 to get a feel for the place and ask trainees currently on the ICA course what they think.

Any advice from guys and girls on the forum would be appreciated i know you lot are full of usefull info.

Thank you for your time

Jack:wink_smile:

sorry about spelling not a strong point

Jack,

Go to the training centre and take a look, but turn up without an appointment. You will see first hand without the fluff up of what the centre is really like.

Our doors are always open (8-5 lol) for anybody that wants to inspect our premises / syllabus / qualifications. No appointment necessary. :)

All the best,
Chase Tiling Academy
