Just got this through from my website contact form lol.
I have removed the link that got sent with it.

Comments: Hello, I am writing in an unusual case ... Some time ago, I used your services, and one of your employees face was familiar to me. At dinner with my wife, it turned out that he was a burglar, who 5 years ago broke into our home!!! This is ridiculous!!! How you can hire criminals? I found at least 3 bad entries for him at website for background check http://####.com !! I am sure there are more!!! Please do something about it, things like that are ridiculous!!!

what sort of website could they get that sort of info for one of your employees.

None that they have access to on the web. They'll be thinking you might be interested searching for people though and click the link.

Yeah I've got the captcha word so don't normally get the junk emails through my site

That would make this hard work for them surely?

Got the same email this morning through my web form. Nearly got me as I recently just started employing someone and then reread it and realised it was clearly some sort of spam with how vague it was.

Think it's a link to the website, as it's a criminal database search that charges $20 per pop so they're hoping you're going to type the employees name in. Unfortunately I don't live in America so not really much help.

This will be a bit worse than a virus on the website you're being linked to. Looks like they want you to pay to get the report from the website, and then they'll have your credit card details and will go do some shopping on your behalf.

As always, never click links in emails unless you know the person who has sent the email. And never click a link in an email to login to ebay, paypal, your bank, whatever. Always just boot the website up as normal and login the usual way.

Make sure your PC has up to date anti virus. And perhaps run a program such as cCleaner every now and again which will remove anything dodgy.
