Oh bu##er. If it's visa debit you might get somewhere. I had a similar incident with my son a few years back and visa actually sorted it for me. They did not pay up themselves but did get my money back for me. Mine was £400 ish as well.... They used the defence that it was a fraudulent transaction as I had not requested the services ( in my case it was for sports results services that my son had signed up for and that sent him a text every hour to update him on football results - even when there were no results to report but they charged 60p per text sent. That was when they told me if it was a credit card it would have been easier to sort.
