I had no idea what this show was until I saw this thread (I don't watch TV except for baseball games and documentaries, and recently-The World Cup ).

So I googled Big Brother and it's safe to say I'm thrilled I've been missing that for the last 10 years or however long it's been on.

This is the first one that i havent even seen a glimpse of. Me and the other half used to watch it all the time.

I used to watch them sleep back in the days of single life and insomnia!

the first one was interesting as they put a random mix of people in isolation and watched them 24/7. you could see how people interact with each other

then they did it every year with different combinations of personality types and it got boring as they were all getting on with each other

so they went down the nutter route and I havent watched it since

ive got better things to do with my time than watch people fall out with each other

like going on tf

Mike, Christina and the kids watch a couple of those reality TV shows, and from what I see as I walk through the living room---:mad2:

They probably are thinking the same thing when I'm watching shows like "Construction of the Winchester Cathedral" or "Welding a nuclear submarine" :lol: Now, that's interesting!

Spent many hours on the Discovery channel myself Rob. It's time to go to bed when the 'how do they do that?' comes on though. haha

Love the universe and space related documentaries. And the stephen hawkins universe series was cool, he's a brilliant guy. Did you get that over the pond or was that a UK thing?

Hi Dan, I don't know if the Stephen Hawking series is on here in the US. It probably is because he is so well known, even among non-scientist/math types.

Do they broadcast "Modern Marvels" over there? That's usually good for losing 2-3 hours of your life when they start in with a series about Inventions by Da Vinci or Building a Nuclear Aircraft Carrier.

I think we do you know, though I'm not sure if that's the name of it here. I love aircraft related stuff too, though I've not seen the aircraft carrier one.
