B&Q tiles scratch grout

I have never seen poor glazing in tiles like this before

I have laid these tiles yesterday afternoon and grouted today normal process as always put grout on genesis float mapei black grout ultraplus (120) cleaned last wipe had a coffee come back all tiles are scratch call costumer over showed end done test another two new tiles out box put some grout on it with float wipe tiles tiles got scratched.

Gone to B&Q talked manageress she did not believe me fist when I showed photos and show them tools and mapei grout she back down and took scratched tiles and said they will send it back to manufacturer (Johnson) of tiles and get back to me.

Gone back told costumer what happened then costumer called B&Q costumer service explained what happened now B&Q will send case manager down I don't know when. costumer offered to pay me money I did not take it until problem resolve and send them another quote to give it to B&Q for re do job.(costumer bought tiles from B&Q)
I will give an update. costumer will let me before case manager arrives let see what will happen :incazzato:

Need to use Bal microflex with those tiles. Alot of the gloss black scratch with any thing else.

I always use mapei never have problem with it this is not grout fault glaze of tile tile should last not years at least decades, plus talked to mapei tech help they similar problem with other tile tile and it was glaze fault plus if customer clean tiles with scotch bright probably it will scratch too

tiles not fired for long enought or to much black in the glaze what biscuit is it on

Ray tiles are White biscuit classic Johnson

I use mapei all the time as well m8. Found out the hard way that the high black gloss tiles scratch with it.

johnsons inport a 1000 containers from china a year and other countrys to i am not saying chinese tiles are rubbbish but you get what you pay for any where in the world
and they pay the minnium been cutting cost for years

I use mapei all the time as well m8. Found out the hard way that the high black gloss tiles scratch with it.

This is not first time I fitted "high black gloss tiles" this never happened before I will try to get hold of some mapei FF grout will have go with spare tiles

on this occasion costumer bought the tiles, not because it is cheap it has got same shade black with furniture in cloak room.
when costumer seen it said buy cheap buy twice

by the way i went in to bq looked at some 600x300 porcs dark grey put them face to face they were bowed about 4mm and £ 54 m2 when i could sell much better at £28 m2 no bows flat as a pan cake so its not always what you pay in the end its knowing the diffrence and not being lazy and looking around

I had a big problem with topps supplying me with bal micromax and that scratched some tiles I had fitted and the grout looked terrible . Result though topps are paying for a refit

latest update
B&Q send tile sample to manufacturer (Johnson) .According to Johnson wrong grout was used.
Costumer will be back from holiday next week we will call B&Q on tuesday. I will call mapei on monday
any suggestions ?

It will be interesting to see what Johnsons say is the 'right' grout. Chances are that B&Q won't sell it!!!
I refuse to fix anything from B&Q anymore, it's just not worth the hassle.
