Basalt tiles

:mad2: Has any one ever had dealing with Rockford in cheshire . Ordered 150sm+ of basalt was told 12 weeks delivery at most now after all the excuses in the world the latest date is middle of november 26weeks later these tiles are payed for the company are a waste of time as far as i am concerned.no one seems to be bothered ,we have already took 200 sm of them started the job on the asurance that they could deliver on time .:mad2:

Must be a delay in shipping or summit..

I had a delivery miss a sail once and it does delay big time.. but 26 weeks is a mega delay..

I can explain how things get delayed by such a huge amount of time.

If it is from somewhere like China, it takes 8 - 12 weeks to ship. If the tiles miss the boat, the company that ordered them probably won't know until the container arrives and the tiles aren't there. Then they speak to the manufacturer, who ships them. Again, with a 8 - 12 week shipping time. So 12 weeks turns into 24.

jesus thats a real pain, we got caught up missing the summer shut down in Italy for 200msq of flamed limestone, not as bad they will be with us this week (only ordered in July), but know what you mean about the supplier/middle men not being bothered when its the contractor getting it in the neck!
