Discuss Basin and toilet in or basin and toilet out. What's it to be. in the British & UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.
When the sanitary wear is taken out and the floor is plyed out and tiled then almost certainly you will have to adjust all pipes accordingly by about an inch, which can prove to be a right pain in the genitals.IMO:sad_smile:Better to take 'em out, the pipework is pretty easy really. I don't see the need for a plumber, after all it's already all plumbed in, right?
Besides, it's such a treat taking toilets out and exposing that lovely soil pipe -
or maybe that's just me?!

you can fix with plasterboard fixings such as these...But, if you're tiling onto a plaster board wall, once you have raised the basin and tiolet, how do you secure them in the new position onto the plaster board behind the tile?
how do you set these up, do you drill a hole in the tile bigger than the the fixing plug, then insert the plug into the plaster board?you can fix with plasterboard fixings such as these...
