Thank you very very much for that aligage it's the answer I looking for about strenght, is the wbp hardboard? I've seen some 4.5x50mm torx screws in tool station from a link on the forum, the length will be ok wont they? Also Do the noggings have to match the joists size?

2"x2" minimum in my opinion. They just need to brace from joist to joist. I put them every 400mm. Ensure you also support where two boards join.
Its a good idea if you are going to be using those screws to mark where any joists, pipes or other things are so you don't drive a screw through it.
Look up your local building supplier or timber merchants are and ask them for marine/WBP Ply.

Thanks for the advice aligage. Have you ever fitted any sorts of bathroom lighting that look good when they are lit up? Looked at some in b&q today and they looked awful.

Lighting all boils down to the room itself. What sort of lighting are you after.

Like a 30mm deck light to throw some light up against some high gloss cupboards I'm gonna have made. Problem is the profile can't be too high or the doors will catch on top of the lights when doors are open. Then maybe some small one i.e 15mm to go down the side of the shower screen. Like I said I've looked at b&q do they are a no no.

When I lay the ply do I start from the middle of the floor and work outwards or just start at the door and work from there

The one reason I go into B&Q these days are for the plumbsure sealing kits - they are the dogs!

I called in the other day for that very thing, someone else said they where good so I thought use that from the start then no problems
