Bath in or out before tiling?

After some thoughts on whether I should put the bath in, fix, seal and tile down to it or leave it out and tile just under?

With 9mm ply, adhesive and 9mm tile going down on the floor, the fixing of the bath has to be bang on as the bath panel could cause problems.

Pros and cons for both, but unsure what's best.

bath in before tiling walls or floor? I would tile the floor install the bath and then tile the walls.... overboard the ply with 6mm hardi backer but only if the floor is solid glued and screwed

9mm ply is no good on the floor. I assume you are over boarding floorboards/chipboard. Use a 6mm cement board as Mr Tea Bag correctly pointed out, but ensure there is no movement in the floor beforehand. As for the bath, have it fitted first and tile down to it, this will give you a double seal.
