What Make Bath of bath seal do you use if any at all . ?

ye the crappy plastic things . one firm i contract to insist on them the other one dont want them . personaly i hate the bloody things. they seem to be a magnet for gathering S*%T . and they look crap to start with .

I only use Silicon.

Any good tile shop should be able to get some in for you

bought a new house and got the builder to come back and cut the trim out and seal the bath.Not worth the money

prop your bottom tiles up using rubi wedges to do this, then Silicon...........prop them up cause Silicon likes to go into some thing to make a good contact . tiling directly onto bath surface, as Silicon will just peel away eventually..............IMO

Im with fred, i leave a 2mm gap between my cut onto the bath or shower. Dont grout it and fill with lovely flexi anti mould Silicon.

Only had one problem and that was where the bath dropped about 10mm, the frame it was set on collapsed. Oops!

Do know some who Silicon round the bath before a tile is laid, Then do the final Silicon after everything is complete

I Silicon before tiling and after......then if a seal splits there is a second for good measure........

If you have the opportunity it is good practice to fill the bath before the final Silicon and do not empty it until the Silicon is dry so it squashes then when you refill the bath it will return to its original state and not pull away.
