Im about to tile the floor of bathroom (next phase) going to install a roll top bath on feet

My question is: Will the tiles be able to take the weight (the ones that the legs are sat on) or do you cut tiles around the feet (which would be horrible to do

What do you lot do ????

Tile it properly and you will be fine, car showrooms have cars on the tiles and they dont crack (mine dont anyway).
If its a timber floor then there must be no deflection at all.
Prep the floor properly and you will be ok.

STAND ALONE BATH......make sure your floor is 100%solid.Make sure you get good coverage on the back of the tile..i would suggest back buttering the tile to get solid bed...use 8mm round notch trowel or maybe 10 if floor isnt 100%.Tile then fit bath...they are fun to fit in a small bathroom btw...not!

as diamond says if done properly it will be fine, the only reason it will crack is if there is voids under the tiles!

It works!

some of them baths are an awful weight,i'v tiled at least 4 bathrooms with free standing baths with claw type feet as weighty as the whole bath:yikes:.
you wouldn't want to be cutting around them:thumbsdown:.
make sure the tiles are 100 coverage and well set and hardened before the bath comes back in.
