Hi everyone

Got a bathroom job both the floor and walls. On one wall there is the toilet and sink which are to be removed. Only trouble is Im not sure which order I should tackle it. Do I start with the floor directly under the toilet or the wall behind toilet and sink or does it not matter - thinking about the cuts near the floor? Basically I need to tile behind toilet and sink and tile the floor under the toilet in one go - and possibly the adjacent wall. If you need any clarification let me know. Thanks.

Best Wishes

Howard

Tile the walls down to the bottom leaving you last row of tiles, finish the floor and cut in you last wall tile to the floor. It looks better IMO this way around.

I would do my walls first. Then do the floor, as the floor tiles cover any cuts on the wall, giving you a very good finish. Also it keeps the floor clean, you dont want to be workin on top of a newly laid and grouted floor.:whatchutalkingabout

If i had the choice i prefer to do floor 1st then walls as i prefer wall tile sitting on top of floor tile. Maybe a little messy but i have a sponge to hand.

I tend to do walls first leaving out bottom row, come back next morning then grout. Then start floor, once tiled put in walls last row then grout both last row and floor. Floor stays nice and clean! Hope this helps

I with rosco and grumpy, walls first hides the cuts at the bottom but also if you've done the floor and then you go and drop something on the floor then you may damage the tile you hit.
